The compressor/motor is mounted and the plumbing complete

The vacuum side plumbing, visible with the Inverter removed, goes straight up to connect with the fire wall pass-through fitting.

The heater is mounted

The heater mounts to the inverter’s vertical support element with it’s side mount flange. It hovers about a half inch above the chassis stiffener.

Where contactors will go

These large contactors (in the white enclosure) that came with the motor Inverter will be relocated into this odd shaped space.

We will make an aluminum skinned box to fit. We will use these 2 embedded captive nuts as a mount point on one end and the battery box mount plate on the other.

The pack mounting to the chassis

Written by admin. Posted in Battery Pack

The pack mounting to the chassis begins with inserting the captive stainless nuts inside the chassis. You can see the three holes that were used to install them.

The green lining is VHB acrylic foam tape, used everywhere in the auto industry. We will be leaving the top adhesive cover on since we do not need the high-strength bond to hold the pack_mounting_foot down since the bolts do that already. This will allow it to come off if needed. This makes a resilient pad that the weight of the pack and inverter sits on.
